Behavenet
Clinical Capsule
<http://www.behavenet.com/capsules/treatments/drugs/drug.htm>

The term drug may refer to any non-food chemical substance or preparation
administered for the purpose of correcting or attenuating a disease process
(therapeutic drug) or for pleasure (recreational drug). Almost all drugs of
interest in the realm of behavioral health care achieve their primary effects
in the brain (central nervous system) and may also be referred to as
psychoactive or psychotropic. Many such drugs (e.g., morphine, diazepam,
amphetamine, nitrous oxide) may be used for either of these two purposes. Some
Drugs judged to have abuse potential are classified according to schedules of
controlled substances by the DEA. (This list also includes some substances
which are classified as foods or dietary supplements.)

BC Cancer Agency
<http://www.bccancer.bc.ca/HPI/DrugDatabase/DrugIndexPro/default.htm>

The BC Cancer Agency's Cancer Drug Manual is designed to be a general reference
in the appropriate use and dosing of chemotherapy drugs. Care has been taken to
ensure accuracy of the information, however, it is not intended to replace the
specific recommendations of physicians in your institution. Since standards of
usage are constantly evolving, it is advised that this manual not be used as
the sole source of information. You are encouraged to also consult other
current references as they become available.

New Medicines Database
Pharma.org
<http://newmeds.phrma.org/>

Today, over 2,000 new medicines are in development. Many of these potential new
medicines will fail in clinical trials, but some may represent tomorrow's new
treatments. Bringing each new medicine to patients will require, on average,
10-15 years of testing and review.

This database includes medicines currently in clinical trials or at FDA for
review. The information contained in this database was derived from Wolters
Kluwer Health's Adis R&D Insight and is published with permission under license
with Wolters Kluwer Health. PhRMA has not reviewed or verified this
information.
